Does anyone know any statistics on Dissociative identity disorder?

I need to know at least the percentage of the american population that suffers from it, or the number of people in the U.S who presently suffer from it.

From my Psychology textbook: "Even though the disorder is still uncommon, thousands of cases have been diagnosed in the United States and Canada alone."

"Thousands" is not really descriptive.. To estimate a percent, let's assume that "thousands" means less than 10,000. The population of the United States is 307 million. Ten thousand is .0032% of the US population.

Greatest luck on your analysis!
